Open position: Project Manager

Design Centre MUOVA is a research and development unit of VAMK dedicated to design and innovation since 1988. Our mission is to support international competitiveness of companies through market-oriented design. We combine product and service design as well as design thinking with marketing, management and ICT in order to transform companies, industries and the society. Strong collaboration with companies, public organisations, research and educational institutes takes place at international, national, and regional levels. Besides research projects, MUOVA works with companies developing design solutions.

We are looking for a project manager to our project team. You will be responsible of several international development and educational projects. The projects are linked to creativity, innovation, service design, design thinking, soft skills and educational development. You will also take part in writing new funding applications and organising international events.

Qualifications:
• Experience in Service Design
• Strong project administration skills
• Appropriate Masters Degree
• Experience in international projects
• Experience in education
• Excellent communication and collaboration development skills
• Experience in organising events
• Strong English language skills
• Innovative, proactive and participative way of working
• Experience in grant writing is an advantage

The temporary position (1.6.2021-30.4.2022) is located in Vaasa with the possibility of partial remote working. The negotiable starting date is 1 June, 2021. Conditions of empoyment according to the General collective agreement for the private teaching sector. A four-month trial period is applied.
