How do physical, virtual and social spaces impact the user's creativity in innovation activities?

 

The aim of the OVET project was to examine how spaces affect creativity and the innovation activities of users. The study looked at space from a broad perspective, taking into account not only the physical space but also the utilization of communication technology and the social dimension of the space. In the OVET project the effect of space for creativity was studied from a user point of view. In the study the development of a method for measuring the user spatial experience and creativity was central. The impact of facilities on creativity was studied by simulating innovation in various space combinations.

The project was implemented in cooperation with the University of Art and  Design (Future Home Institute) and Vaasa University of Applied Sciences. Muova was the project coordinator. Business Partners were ISKU, ABB and Humac. The final report is published in the Muova publications.
