Creative Strategic Foresight

 

CSF project (2011 - 2013) is part of EU´s Lifelong Learning Program. The project aims to create, develop and test a creative strategic foresight study module which combines strategic thinking to creativity as well as applied research in education. The target groups are the third degree BA -Students and teachers.

CSF Main aims and objectives

1. To develop and test a research-oriented study module which combines creativity with strategic thinking and applied research with education.

2. A model how to combine research with education to develop new, innovative ideas.

3. A plan how to integrate the project results with the world of enterprises

4. To contribute to integration of creativity into European curricula

CSF and EU priorities

Creative Strategic Foresight (CFS) aims to promote systematic integration of creativity in the European curricula. It addresses especially the EU 2020 flagship initiative of smart growth, which comprises the idea of an innovative and knowledge based economy in which education has a central role. The highly educated, innovative and creative society would thus be more competitive by creating new jobs and the preconditions for future jobs.* Creativity and innovation are exploited further as they extend to the knowledge triangle where education, research and innovation meet (ET 2020).**

CSF addresses especially to the Eu’s Lifelong learning programme’s key competence Sense of Initiative and Entrepreneurship.***

CSF will exploit the use of ICT in education; it will use blended learning (face-to-face education and virtual learning). The study module is aims also to contribute to foster the excellence and innovation in higher education. This is done by:

• Combining applied research and education, creative tools, environmental scanning and entrepreneurial viewpoint.

• Bringing together students, teachers and researchers from different fields of economic sciences promotes new ideas, and the traditional academic culture is added with innovative awareness, and opened to the society via knowledge from applied research.

• Knowledge triangle

• Blended learning and experiental approaches.

• Identifying core challenges in different sectors

• Stimulating innovative mindset of students by:

  • A toolbox of innovation methods
  • Cross-disciplinarily and holistic thinking
  • Future foreseeing.
