The MentoraSTEAM project aims to boost the employability of highly skilled migrant women in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics sectors by offering them a comprehensive training programme to develop their confidence and self-efficacy, and therefore their employability. The policy context of the labour market inclusion for highly skilled migrant women is also addressed within the Policy Framework Guide.
MentoraSTEAM Employability Booster Training Programme addresses the needs of highly skilled migrant women who face a double disadvantage by being migrants and working in a male dominated environment to help their career progression thus facing a double challenge. The training encourages women to explore the steps needed for their success, whether through work related programmes, training, education, work shadowing or volunteering. It also helps them recognise the steps necessary for their aspirations and ambitions and value their life skills while adapting to a new host country.
The skills of migrant women in STEAM sectors will be developed through:
